Ed M’s first outing at Prime Minister’s Questions today, at 12, and just before that it’s Harriet’s first outing at DFID questions. Here’s the running order for PMQs, mostly Tories, so plenty of opportunities for random Labour backbenchers to be called if they catch the Speaker’s eye. Ed will probably come in straight after David Evennett. Will be interesting to see if he uses all six questions at once, and on the same topic, or breaks it up, e.g three questions at the start and three later on in the session.

  1. Mr David Evennett (Bexleyheath and Crayford):
  2. Chris Heaton-Harris (Daventry):
  3.  Mr Robert Buckland (South Swindon):
  4.  Esther McVey (Wirral West):
  5.  Mr Jim Cunningham (Coventry South):
  6.  Roger Williams (Brecon and Radnorshire):
  7.  Ian Austin (Dudley North):
  8.  Dr William McCrea (South Antrim):
  9. Kevin Brennan (Cardiff West):
  10. Paul Uppal (Wolverhampton South West):
  11. Dr Daniel Poulter (Central Suffolk and North Ipswich):
  12.  Sajid Javid (Bromsgrove):
  13. Margot James (Stourbridge):
  14. Stephen Gilbert (St Austell and Newquay):

Breaking up his questions to 2 groups of 3 is where William Hague was good as Mr Blair never knew when he was going to do it. I remember once he asked 6 questions in a row but changed the subject for each question making Blair struggle as he had to go back and forth in his file.
