It’s not natural or normal or kind…

Morrissey comes out in support of Johnny Marr, explaining why David Cameron is ‘not allowed’ to like the Smiths.

I don’t actually agree with Morrissey’s take on this. Well, I do, but I think there are even more objectionable things about Cameron than the fact he supports hunting. And given that he’s probably not going to be able to push a pro-hunting vote through the Commons – the numbers don’t quite stack up – we ought to be focusing on the hideous damage he and his Government are wreaking on people’s lives, not what he would like to do to animals given half a chance.

It’s also a tad annoying that Morrissey succumbs to lazy celeb talk about politicians ‘if you can find one you can half trust’, and suggests that politicians can only be made to care about this issue if they think votes are at stake. Or at least that’s what I think he’s saying, it’s a bit of a rambling piece. But still, every little helps.

Lots of voters anti hunting with dogs.

Lots of voters very sceptic about politicians.

A vote is a vote, and votes are votes …

Be great to convert them all to one’s views, obviously, but convincing Mt Smith may not be uppermost in his mind …

(The Labour PPC I handled was a big fan of theirs, I cannot quite place them. Russian Orthodox choral music has taken my attention of late … Prob some votes in that too.)

They seem to be under the delusion that lyrics have any value when, as any fool knows, it’s all about the tunes.
