Jobless millions whisked away…

Here’s the link to my piece for the Spectator about alternative Conference choons… Conference nextyear is going to be in Liverpool for the first time. I can see Pete Wylie belting out “If I Can Dream”… Or maybe even “The Story of the Blues”. Must have potential? Anyone know if he’s a Labour man?

Since ‘Story of the Blues’ part 2 quotes Raoul Vaneigem, I doubt he’s Labour man. But maybe he’s mellowed with age?

Come Back (The Story of the Reds) would surely be the Wah! tune to get played – if you can get him to drop the “hats off to Hatton” !
