BBC to pull out of Bristol?

Worrying news for Bristol if these tumours about the BBC moving out more production to Cardiff are true. My concern is that they know there’d be a huge public outcry if we were to lose the rightly revered Natural History Unit, so they’re keen to stress that will mot be affeted – but it’s the gradual withdrawal of other less prestigious productions which will have a real impact on Bristol’s position as a hub for creative industries.

I hear there is talk of a community TV station coming to Bristol. This could encourage much more local creativity for Bristol than the Beeb. The BBC used to promote community what happened to them? They became yet another mainstream bias broadcaster that mostly ignores the community wishes & hides behind cooperate doors with little or no access to the community whatsoever. Perhaps people should see what success the BBC has had building creativity in Bristol and build up on the good stuff on a grass roots level. Stuff the BBC their programs are rubbish and do little to promote creativity. They would rather crush people’s ideas and inspirations and tarnish them with their own brush. Bring on Community TV I say!!!
